In honor of the elevation of Baroness Othindisa Bykona to the Order of the Laurel, the cooks of Delftwood invite those who are so inclined to participate in our latest culinary challenge. The theme of the day is HONEY – all entries must be a period recipe the features the sweet and sticky substance. Any time period and any culture within SCA parameters is acceptable, but it must be from a period resource.
Participants are asked to bring their prepared dish, serving utensils, a copy of the medieval recipe and source citation, and a copy of your redaction to the vigil room. There, the dishes will be sampled by the Peers waiting to consult Her Excellency. Those who sample will have the opportunity to leave feedback about your dish, and Her Excellency will award a prize to the one who cooks her favorite dish of the day.
