Welcome to the Barony of Delftwood & Its Canton of Dunloch
The Barony of Delftwood and the Canton of Dunloch are a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international pre-1600’s recreation society. The Barony and Canton encompass most of Onondaga and Oswego Counties and also parts of nine other surrounding counties. Within the SCA, Delftwood and Dunloch are a part of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc (Western NY, Western PA, WV).
Members of the SCA gather to hold feasts, tournaments, courts, and other aspects from this time period. Clothing, food, music, and martial activities are just a few areas of interest to explore in our group. Martial activities include armored combat, fencing, thrown weapons and archery.

14th Baronage of Delftwood
Dearest Delftwood,
The past 6 months have gone by so very quickly. We celebrated Delftwood’s birthday at
the pudding party at Pennsic. We joined together at the Practice in the Redwoods and
named our new Baronial Archery and Thrown Weapons Champions. Vivat to Mistress
Alheydis and Lady Ana, respectively. We enjoyed A&S classes together and welcomed
new people to the Baronial Martial Practices. We’ve held a number of demos. Thank you
to all who have sat at tables and talked with the public who have stopped by to look at
who we are and what we do.
Since our last missive, we wanted to congratulate Lord Hiro, Mistress Alheydis, Baron
Dalibor, Lady Holly and Drew, and Lord Hartman, for their achievements (and Barunin
Amalie would also like to mention Baron Ixac amongst this list as well). We also would
like to mention Lady Muirenn’s successful A&S entry and victory at Seven Pearls and
Mistress Alheydis’ newest title of Kingdom Archery Champion.
In the next few months, we will see more winds and colder weather, yet we will still see
each other and keep our hearts warm. We look forward to Yule, Kingdom 12 Night, and
Seven Deadlies. We look forward to seeing all the Baronial (& Kingdom) Championship
Competitions and the Peace Tourney. We are excited to see what classes are to come.
We look forward to people learning new skills at martial practices. We eagerly await
sitting together around tables or fires and hearing songs and stories from our chosen
family.
We can’t wait for Delftwood to show more and more everyday why we’ll always be the
Barony that Rocks!
With our love,
Baron Ixac and Baroness Amalie
