Welcome to the Barony of Delftwood & Its Canton of Dunloch

The Barony of Delftwood and the Canton of Dunloch are a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international pre-1600’s recreation society. The Barony and Canton encompass most of Onondaga and Oswego Counties and also parts of nine other surrounding counties. Within the SCA, Delftwood and Dunloch are a part of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc (Western NY, Western PA, WV).

Members of the SCA gather to hold feasts, tournaments, courts, and other aspects from this time period. Clothing, food, music, and martial activities are just a few areas of interest to explore in our group. Martial activities include armored combat, fencing, thrown weapons and archery.

14th Baronage of Delftwood

Greetings Delftwood!

We feel blessed and endlessly grateful for this opportunity to serve as your Baronage once again. We had incredible time at Seven Deadlies and appreciate all the efforts of the populace and most especially our three Autocrats, Dame Jenette, Meisterin Helena, and Lady Phillipa. We hope that everyone who attended had the most wonderful event between the Fencing, Heavy Fighting, Bardic, all the Art & Sciences opportunities, competitions, merchants, camaraderie, and celebrating those who were recognized in court. We want to thank Zaritsa for crafting the new champion baldrics, Dona Ania for making the newest Baronial coronets, and we are excited to announce Master Rian as the new Baronial Rapier Champion.

Additionally, we invite you to continue celebrating with us at the Feast of the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins on March 21st, featuring Thegn Perote as the head chef, and you can find details on the Baronial website.

We wish to encourage all the youth in the Barony to speak with Selene of Delftwood, our Youth Ambassador and Vizier, with any ideas for youth programming. She will keep us apprised of our youth members requests. We look forward to working with her in that capacity.

At some point in the near future, we will be holding a plenary session with Delftwood’s officers to develop a framework that will guide the Barony for the next three years.

We want to express our immense gratitude to Mistress Othindisa and Baron William for their service to Delftwood and Dunloch for the last three years.

We are thrilled that so much of the populace are participating in events, A&S classes and Marshal activities in the Barony and Canton, and we hope to see even more people at gatherings yet to come.

If you have questions, suggestions, or recommendations for award recipients, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on Facebook, email or Discord.

We are honored and overjoyed to serve the Barony that Rocks!

In service, always,
Baron Ixac and Baroness Amalie
