A record of the Court Proceedings of the reign of Their Excellencies of Delftwood, Propraetor Marcus Claudius Cincinnatus and Propraetrix Desiderata Drake upon the Yule Celebration and Krampusnacht on the 8th of December, 2018 AS 53. Presented by Freiherrin Helena Mützhasen, Windmill Pursuivant.
The court of Propraetor Marcus and “The Six-Pearled Devil-Duck of Delftwood” was opened and all were welcomed.
Any newcomers were invited into court, and given a cup to remember the day and use at future events.
It was determined through a series of queries who present had participated in our Society the longest, exempting those who had already won the prize. Countess Caryl Olesdatter was determined to be the longest-serving member of our society, and was given a lantern to symbolize the light he showed to all.
Youth were called forth and each given a bag filled with goodies.
The Event Stewards, Meisterin Felicitas Flußmüllnerin and the Krampus (cleverly, but not completely, disguised as Freiherr Fridrich Flußmüllner) were invited into court, whereupon they thanked those who ran and participated in the various activities during the day and invited folks to take home candy.
The following gentles were called forth and given Millstones for going above and beyond at several past events as well as this one:
At Pennsic: Deryk Hastings and Hus Faerhaga
At Wildwood: Lord Chebe, Don Michael Gladwyne, and Claude du Vivier
At Yule: Meesteres Odrianna van der Brugge, Lady Alethea Cowle, Amalot, Christian, and Fela Flußmüllnerin
Lord Ixac Ben Simone was relieved of his responsibilities and regalia as Performing Arts Champion. Lady Megge Gormshuileach was declared the new winner, and invested in the regalia. Scroll illumination by an anonymous scribe in the White Vine scroll class, calligraphy by Meisterin Felicitas Flußmüllnerin.
THL Justin Lymner was relieved of his responsibilities and regalia as Arts and Sciences Champion. Lady Margarita Carpintero was declared the new winner, and invested in the regalia. Scroll illumination by an anonymous scribe in the White Vine scroll class, calligraphy by Meisterin Felicitas Flußmüllnerin.
Freiherrin Helena Mützhasen spoke on the Peace Tournament, thanked the Judges and announced that second place was Master Benedict Fergus atte Mede, and the winner was Lady Margarita Carpintero. Each was given prizes.
Frytz Flußmüllner was called forth and presented with the scroll and regalia of Kingdom Youth Champion (Division 1) as announced at Coronation in September. Scroll was by Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope.
Frytz was then asked to remain in court for further business, and inducted into the Order of the Whirligig for his enthusiasm for fighting. Scroll was created by the Family Flußmüllner.
Edelvrouwe Lijsbet de Keukere begged a moment to announce that there was plenty of food left over and everyone present was encouraged to take some home with them.
There being no further business, the court was closed.
