The Barony of Delftwood is seizing upon the opportunity of having the Æthelmearc War College so close at hand, to invite the Kingdom to stay an extra day to join us in continuing the preparations for War! This event will serve as a Regional Muster, our Baronial Heavy Championship, and a wonderful chance to get together and enjoy a picnic.
There are no fees to join us, however, each car will need to pay for parking ($5) and we ask that you bring an item to pass and share: drinks, your favorite modern picnic food, or a more medieval fare. The day will begin with a tournament to choose our next Baronial Heavy Champion, tournament style to be chosen by the current champion. Then, the rest of the afternoon will be filled with running practice scenarios for the upcoming War. We will wrap up with Baronial Court.
So please come, join the Barony of Delftwood, as we celebrate the longs days of summer with good fighting and even better company. There are flushing restrooms, running water, lots of grills and picnic tables, and room for day shades. There is a playground and several beautiful hiking trails. Dogs are welcome on a leash. This is a dry site. Any questions should be addressed to the Event Stewards.
Directions:
Take Interstate 81 to 481 N. Take exit 1: Rock Cut Road. At the light at the end of the ramp veer right onto Rock Cut Road. Turn left onto Brighton Ave. Continue straight at the Kinney’s Drug onto East Seneca Tnpk / Route 173. Clark Reservation will be about 2 miles ahead on the left. Once inside the park, you will find the location on the right-hand side, just before the parking lot.
