My favorite things to do in the SCA are:
On the field I am a 14th century southwestern German squire. I enjoy participating in tournaments, melees, and historic deed of arms, especially fighting over the barricade. My other martial interests are making and maintaining armor and thrown weapons.

Off the field of battle, I am a 16th century Landsknecht Hauptman (Captain) with family in tow. I grew up as a miller in Rottweil, but have leased my mill to follow the wars and raise funds as a mercenary. When free-time allows, I enjoy cooking, music and dance, calligraphy and illumination, game time with my family, wood, copper, and leather work, and setting up camp.

I participate/have interest(s) in the following activities:
Arts & Sciences, Heavy Weapons, Thrown Weapons, Cooking, Scribal Arts, Bardic Arts, and Heraldry.

If I could be anyone in (period) history , I would be…
Gunther von Schwartzburg (for 14th century)
Georg von Frundsberg (for 16th century)

If you saw me at an SCA event, I most likely would be…
running errands for my knight or wife.

The top item on my “SCA bucket list” to try is…
recreating a 14th century armor kit based on the effigy of Gunter von Schwartzburg.

What do you like most about being in the SCA?
recreating interesting things from history.

Other information I would like to share with the public:
I am currently Delftwood’s Chatelaine and a Marshal at Large, so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me: fridrich@faerhaga.org
