Name:
Pronounced Oth-in-dee-za Bee-kona
née Olivia d’Anjou

SCA Member since:
1995

My favorite things to do in the SCA are:
Spending time with friends, meeting new people, beekeeping, research, voice heraldry, and camping.

I participate/have interest(s) in the following activities:
Arts & Sciences and Heraldry.

If I could be anyone in (period) history , I would be…
A beekeeper. Beekeeping is my passion and I would love to learn the trade as it was actually practiced in period.

If you saw me at an SCA event, I most likely would be…
Socializing, heralding a court or tourney, talking about honey bees.

The top item on my “SCA bucket list” to try is…
Set up and run a fully functional period-style apiary (bee yard).

What do you like most about being in the SCA?
The people. I find the Society to be full of people who think a lot like me. I enjoy the wealth of knowledge and vast creativity of the people in the Society. My involvement challenges me to become a better artisan and inspires me to become a better person.

Delftwood rocks because…
of Her people.

Other information I would like to share with the public:
Most people only know me as the Bee Lady. I am always happy to discuss bee-related topics, both medieval and modern.
