Being the court report of Their Excellencies, Benedict Fergus atte Mede and Helene al Zarqa', Tenth Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, by the grace of the Crown of Æthelmearc. Held at A Shoote in the Wildwood in Their Barony of Delftwood on the 31st day of August and 1st day of September, Anno Societatus Forty-Eight. Baronsfrú Oðthindisa Býkona reporting herald; assisted by Meisterin Felicitas Flußmüllnerin.

Saturday, August 31st:

Their Excellencies welcomed everyone to the event. They thanked everyone in attendance for making the event a success, especially the Event Stewards and their staff.

Their Excellencies called before them all those for whom this was their first event in our Society. They gave them tokens to encourage them to further explore the society.

Their Excellencies determined those who travelled the farthest to attend the event, and welcomed into their court. They gave the travelers tokens to remember Delftwood.

Their Excellencies called before them, the event stewards, Baron Edward Harbinger and Lord Ráðúlfr Eiríksson. They thanked everyone that helped make the event run smoothly and successfully. Baron Edward and Lord Ráðúlfr thanked all those involved assisting them this weekend.

Their Excellencies welcomed Baroness Sadira and Baroness Nezha into court. Sadira and Nezha created a Windmill subtly to thank the barony for the donation of food to Baron Saleem’s memorial service. They invited everyone to enjoy the cookie and brownie confection after court.
Their Excellencies called before them Baroness Anastasie to discuss the archery shoot. She then announced the overall winner to be Thadeuz Wypit.

Their Excellencies called forward Maistir Brandubh Ó Donnghaile and pronounced him the winner of the Seven Pearls archery tournament.

Their Excellencies called forward Lady Aleidis Lanen to announce the updated ranks for thrown weapons. She announced the following: Marcellus Titus Cincinnatus – Thrower Vilhjálmr Eðvarðarson – Thrower Ixac Simone - Thrower Bran mac Dimmain - Verfur Clarice Roan - Verfur Anastasie deLamoure - Verfur Gyles de Blaire - Verfur Edward Harbinger - Verfur Amalie Reinhardt - Verfur Aidan Ransford - Verfur Ráðúlfr Eiríksson - Caster

Their Excellencies requested the assistance of a stunt herald, Don Po Silvertop. A tongue-twisting, sparring of words ensued between Her Excellency and Don Po about the atl-atl battle held that day. Having had enough of the word battle over the atl-atl battle, His Excellency Fergus called a halt to it. Steve was called forth and pronounced the winner of the atl-atl battle.

Their Excellencies called forward Lady Aleidis Lanen, Baroness Anastasie, Lord Jan Langhe ten Walde, and Aurelio di Baldasare. They thanked Lanen, Anastasie, and Jan for their hard work in making Wildwood a success. They thanked Aurelio in abstentia for acting as Pennsic land agent for the baronies camp. Their Excellencies gave them all Millstones for these acts.

Their Excellencies requested Isadora Rogan come before them. She was unable to attend and her lord husband, Seamus Rogan stepped forward. They asked Seamus to pass along word that she was inducted her into the Order of the Windmill for her service in creating scrolls, especially as a battle scribe.

Their Excellencies then requested Seamus to stay before them. They inducted him into the Order of the Windmill for his service to the barony’s archery community for over ten years.

Their Excellencies called before them Mistress Alheydis von Körckhingen. They spoke of her rapid proficiency in archery. They inducted her into the Order of the Millguard for this.

Their Excellencies once again thanked all those in attendance and wished them safe travels home if they were unable to stay for the remainder of the weekend.

There being no further business, this court of Their Excellencies was suspended.

Sunday, September 1st:

Their Excellencies welcomed everyone to the event. They thanked everyone in attendance for making the event a success, especially the Event Stewards and their staff.

Their Excellencies called before them all those who were attending their first event today. They welcomed the newcomers and gave them tokens to encourage them to further explore the Society.

Their Excellencies announced the children’s shoot had been held in the afternoon. While still on the range, Lilly was determined to be the youngest archer. Mistress Alheydis conveyed the history of the arrow. Their Excellencies requested Lilly to return next year to pass along the arrow to the youngest at that Wildwood.

Their Excellencies called forward Baron Artimus, Meister Urho, and Master Alaric McConnell. They gave Artimus a Millstone for his work as the Barony’s Pennsic land agent. They thanked Alaric in abstentia and Urho for travelling from the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands. Their Excellencies gave them Millstones for setting up archery ranges and marshalling. Meister Urho said he would encourage more folks from the BMDL to attend Wildwood next year.

Their Excellencies called Lord Michael Gladwyne forward. They thanked him for his service as Baronial Archery Champion and divested him of the regalia. Their Excellencies requested Reinaldr bjórtappr into their court. He was then pronounced the newest Archery Champion and invested with the regalia of the champion.

Their Excellencies called forward Lord Ráðúlfr Eiríksson. They thanked him for his service as Baronial Thrown Weapons Champion and divested him of the regalia. Their Excellencies requested Aurora, known as Tiny T, into their court. She was then pronounced the newest Thrown Weapons Champion and invested with the regalia of the champion.

Their Excellencies were pleased with the many leather and wood entries for the Artisan’s Challenge. They named Baroness Anastasie de L’Amour the winner of the challenge. Baroness Anastasie then gifted her winning entry of hand carved leather coasters and wood holder to Their Excellencies.

Their Excellencies called forward Lady Genevieve de Chaumont. Lady Genevieve then gifted the barony with a sweets bag with the barony’s arms she charted and knitted herself. Their Excellencies thanked Lady Genevieve for her generous gift.

Their Excellencies once again thanked all those in attendance and wished them safe travels home and bid them visit Delftwood again.

There being no further business, this court of Their Excellencies was closed.
