Edward and Anastasie
February 11th, AS 46 (2012)
Deadly Carnival
Barony of Delftwood

Here follows the Report of the Court of Their Excellencies, Edward Harbinger and Anastasie de Lamoure, Ninth Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, held at Delftwood’s Deadly Carnival in Their Barony of Delftwood on the 11th day of February A.S. 46. Officiated jointly by Meisterin Felicity Fluβmüllnerin and Baroness Olivia d'Anjou.  Report submitted by Meisterin Felicity Fluβmüllnerin.

 On the field:

Their Excellencies called before them Don Behrend von Elmendorf to commend him upon his holding the field against all comers in the Tavern Brawl Fencing Tournament.  They provided the Don with a scroll to commemorate his feat, scroll by Lord Fridrich Fluβmüllner.

 In Court:

Their Excellencies invited before them the assembled youth in attendance. As is customary, Their Excellencies queried as to their enjoyment of the festivities, to which the youths replied with vigor. Having gained affirmation of the day's success from Their youngest subjects, Their Excellencies gifted to them molded windmill cookies in honor of our proud barony.

Their Excellencies invited before them all for whom this was their first visit to the Known World. After much encouragement from the assemblage, these new found friends were welcomed by Their Excellencies and invited to return and, if it please them, to find a home in these peaceful and prosperous lands.

Their Excellencies then gave leave to Baron Oeric Lestrange to hold court.  It seemed Baron Oeric had travelled through the mists of time in order to right an oversight from his own time as Baron of Delftwood.  Baron Oeric called forth Lord Aiden Ransford so that he might receive his scroll to prove to all that he had been inducted into the Order of Millguard.  Baron Oeric thanked his ancestors for their time and disappeared.

Their Excellencies then called Their Fencing Champion, Don Benedict Fergus atte Mede to attend them.  Don Fergus affirmed that he had held a tournament that day to find a new Champion to defend Them and The Barony.  One Matthew the Wrong had risen above all to become the new Baronial Champion.  Don Fergus was heartily thanked for his time as champion and handed over the regalia of his office, including the Seven Pearls Buckler, won by his skill for the honor of Delftwood.  Matthew was then invited to take up the role us Baronial Champion.  He accepted gladly and expressed his wish to keep the Seven Pearls Buckler in Delftwood.  Matthew was asked to take his place with the other Champions to guard Their Excellencies at all times.  Scroll by Baroness Anastasie de Lamoure.

Matthew the Wrong was again called into the presence of Their Excellencies.  They had noted well his skill on the fencing field and thought it appropo that he had won the day to become Their Champion.  For his good skill, they inducted him into the Order of the Millguard.  Scroll and haiku by Baroness Clarice Roan.

Master Rian Gortyroyan was then called before Their Excellencies.  In their good wisdom, Edward and Anastasie saw fit to induct him into the Order of the Capstan, however it seemed that his scroll had wandered into a neighboring public house, imbibed far too much of his fine Hawk and Hound Ale, and disappeared.  Search parties were sent out to bring back the missing scroll and Lady Faílenn ingen Chernaich pledged to see it returned to Master Rian.

Lady Desiderata Drake was then called forward and thanked for all she had done to help the Barony of Delftwood.  She was warmly surrounded by the members of the Order of the Mistral, and inducted into their proud order.  Illumination by Baroness Anatasie de Lamoure, Carving by Baron Edward Harbinger, Wording by Lady Catherine O’Herlihy, Stained Glass Badge by Baron Artemius Andreas Magnus.

Their Excellencies then announced to the populace Their intent to step down as Baron and Baroness at the next February event.  They stated that a vote would be held to find a worthy successor and that the winners of that vote would be installed a year from this day.  They thanked all for attending and looked forward to a life in retirement.

There being no further business before Their Excellencies, court was closed.
