Barony of Delftwood


The Report of the Court of Their Excellencies, Edward Harbinger and Anastasie de Lamoure, Ninth Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, held at the May Day event in the Canton of Angels Keep on the 1st day of May on the 1st day of A.S. 45. Lady Helene al-Zarqa’ with the assistance of Fenris McGill.

Their Excellencies called before them any gentle for which this was their first event in the Society. They spoke words of welcome, gave a token of appreciation, and bade the newcomers return.

Their Excellencies then bid all children present attend them. They enquired if the children had a good day, and upon hearing an assent, gave each child a cookie (with parental approval).

Their Excellencies called before them the autocrat of the event, The Honorable Lady Moniczka Poznanska. THL Moniczka announced that the victor of the Heavy Weapons Assassins Tournament was Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus. THL Moniczka then gave each civilian assassin a rock from the tournament for participating. The autocrat further announced that the virtue of the Maiden of May (Lady Helene al-Zarqa’) overcame the lechery of the Satyr to become the victor of the Rapier Tournament of Wrong.

Their Excellencies then called before them Terrence, known that day as “Mister Happy,” and deemed him the Most Wrong Fencer in the Tournament of Wrong. The Scroll of Wrong was illuminated by Lady Svana inn Kyrra and limned by Lady Gillian McGill de Verona.

Their Excellencies asked for the presence of Dame T’Sivia bas Thamara v’Amberview and named her the victor of the day’s Arts and Sciences competition.

Their Excellencies then asked to see Lady Lasairfhíona inghean Uí Ghallchobhair and spoke of the service she gives to the Canton of Angels Keep and the Barony of Delftwood, including autocratting events and serving in many offices. Their Excellencies called Fenris McGill, before them to serve as a Stunt Herald. They then asked to see Lady Helene al-Zarqa’. They spoke of her participation in the rapier community and growing skill, and inducted her into the Order of the Guard of the Windmill. Scroll by Verederosa Dal Sol.

Their Excellencies then again invited into their Court Dame T’Sivia bas Thamara v’Amberview. Dame T’Sivia confirmed having previously taken Baroness Anastasie as an apprentice in the arts and a protégé in service.Dame T’Sivia then formally took Baron Edward as an apprentice and protégé without oath, stating her role as teacher and affirming their Excellencies’ fealty to the Crown of Æthelmearc alone and their primary duties to the barony and kingdom.

There being no further business, the court of Their Excellencies was closed.
