Afternoon Court:
Here follows the report of the afternoon court of Their Excellencies,
Artemius Andreas Magnus and Clarice Roan, eighth Baron and Baroness of
Delftwood. Court held on the 1st day of September, A.S. XLII (2007) at
their Shoot in the Wildwood held in the Barony of Delftwood. Lady
Felicity Flußmüllnerin, reporting herald.
Their Excellencies invited the populace to attend them upon the field.
His Excellency then bounded to Lady Fenris McGill to escort her into
their presence. They then spoke of her talents in fencing and her
willingness to teach other the use of the rapier. For this they
inducted her into their Order of the Millguard. Scroll by Lady
Gwenhywar Morwyn, text and calligraphy by Baroness Clarice Roan.
Their Excellencies then invited Lord Edward the Grey and Lady Diana.
Artemius and Clarice greeted them with thanks and appreciation for all
the good works they had done for our barony. For their unselfish
donation of time and goods, their Excellencies gave them a fine scroll
of thanks. The scroll was illuminated by Lady Gwenhyvar Morwyn,
sonnet and calligraphy by Baroness Clarice Roan. Lord Edward was so
moved by this that he extended to the Baron his own bow, another
example of his kindness and generosity. He added the stipulation
that Baron Artemius join in the royal rounds that afternoon. His
Excellency agreed most heartily.
There being no further business at that time, court was closed.

Evening Court:
Here follows the report of the evening court of Their Excellencies,
Artemius Andreas Magnus and Clarice Roan, eighth Baron and Baroness of
Delftwood. Court held on the 1st day of September, A.S. XLII (2007) at
their Shoot in the Wildwood held in the Barony of Delftwood. Lady
Felicity Flußmüllnerin, reporting herald.
His Excellency spoke upon the impressive amount of archers joining in
the shooting that day. There were archers from neighboring lands
and from home, numbering five and twenty in all. Even His
Excellency shot a royal round with his new bow, a gift from earlier
that day.
Their Excellencies then requested the presence of Andreas Schmidt. They
commented on his tireless service within the Barony and the Kingdom at
large. For his selflessness they inducted him into their Order of
the Windmill. Scroll is forthcoming.
Her Excellency then invited into court all first time visitors to our
lands. There came forth a visitor from Japan, Hibiki, who agreed to
join in the festivities while his tenure in our lands continued.
Their Excellencies next invited forward their autocrats, Lord Edward
Harbinger and Lady Anastasie de Lamoure. The autocrats thanked
everyone for attending the event.
The Autocrats requested that James Duffey be called into court.
The young man received a scroll for his generous donation of the
monsters for the Youth Archery Shoot that day. Scroll by Lady
Anastasie de Lamoure.
They then announced the winners of the day: Seven Pearls Archery
Tournament Winner: Master Connor Bowsplitter of Clan MacFarlane
(Rydderich Hael) and Overall Archery Tournament Winner: Mistress Sibyl
Cairnfalcon (Delftwood) who received a stained glass heart made by His
Excellency.
All youth archers were then invited into court to hear the Legend of
the Colors from Lord Edward the Grey. The youngest archer
received an arrow crafted by Thyri Oddsdottir and was then entrusted
with passing on the story and blue and white fletched arrow the
following year, again to the youngest archer of the day. Each of
the Barony's youth archers received thanks from Her Excellency for
protecting the Barony from vicious monsters and a cookie.
In thanks for the wonderful event and all the work that went into
planning it, both Autocrats also received a stained glass heart made by
His Excellency. His duty thus discharged, Lord Edward Harbinger
was asked to return his regalia of office to Their Excellencies, that
they might install their new archery champion. With thanks, Lord
Edward was discharged of his duties and released to join the populace
with his lady, free to enjoy the remained of the day.
Their Excellencies requested the presence of Lord Aidan Ransford, who
was then made Baronial Archery Champion. Once vested as befits
the champion, he was asked to stand with the other Baronial Champions
and take up his duty to the Barony.
Their Excellencies then called Lord Gyles de Blair into their
presence. It seemed there was a thrown weapons baldric without a
champion and over the course of the last months the barony had sought
to fill said baldric. Thus, was Lord Gyles installed as the
Thrown Weapons Champion of Delftwood and asked to join his fellow
champions in guarding Their Excellencies.
Kind thanks were extended to Lady Áine inghean Riocaird for
running the Thrown Weapons Championship tournament.
Their Excellencies then, strangely, required the presence of the self
same Lord Gyles de Blair. Upon asking the member of the Order of
the Capstan to stand, they inducted the good gentle into that same
order. Scroll by Alheydis von Körckhingen.
Their Excellencies then called upon Lady Failenn ingen Chernaich, who
was not present that day.
There being no further business before Their Excellencies, court was
closed.
