Barony of Delftwood


Here follows the report of the Court of His Excellency Oeric, Baron of Delftwood, held on the 29th day of July, in the Year of Our Lord 2004, Anno Societatis 39, at the Delftwood Arts & Sciences Fifth Thursday Dinner. Court was heralded by Lady Alheydis von Körckhingen and seconded by Lady Petronilla Goodwin. Report by Lady Alheydis von Körckhingen, Windmill Pursuivant.

His Excellency received Lady Petronilla Goodwin, who requested permission of His Excellency to take as a page Kieran of Delftwood. With the permission of His Excellency and that of Kieran's parents, Lady Petronilla accepted Kieran into her household as a page. She presented him with a plate from her household's table, a book of Chaucer's writings, and a candle. Kieran of Delftwood then presented to His Excellency a small glass scorpion.

Helene al-Zarqua' and Lady Catherine O'Herlihy , known as Mischief and Mayhem, were named the victors of His Excellency's bardic competition. In recognition of their most pleasant musicality and good humor, they were invested as Delftwood's first Bardic Champions. His Excellency called forth all the participants in his Arts & Sciences competition. Thanking them for their labours in creating Baronial garb for Pennsic War, he paid the entrants in coin of gold-covered chocolate.

Lady Juliana Stafford and Fenris McGill were then named the victors of His Excellency's Arts & Sciences competition. His Excellency did then formally convey to Oliver Gladwyne his induction into the Order of the Silver Buccle, done in absentia at Pax Interruptus by their majesties Maynard and Christina on July 10, 2004, AS 39. Scroll illuminated by Graidhe ni Ruadh & calligraphed by Cadell Blaidd Du.

His Excellency did then formally convey to Lady Beatrice Osborne her Award of Arms, done in absentia at Pax Interruptus by their majesties Maynard and Christina on July 10, 2004, AS 39. Scroll illuminated by Graidhe ni Ruadh & calligraphed by Cadell Blaidd Du.

His Excellency did then formally convey to Lord Claude du Vivier his Award of Arms, done in absentia at Pax Interruptus by their majesties Maynard and Christina on July 10, 2004, AS 39. Scroll illuminated by Mariana of the Vayle & George Anne, and calligraphed by Alessandra d'Avignon.
