Barony of Delftwood
Here begins the Report of the First Court of Oeric, Baron of Delftwood,
at the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins, on the 21st of February, in the
Year of Our Lord 2004. Seigneur Jean Ancelin, reporting
pursuivant, with assistance from Lady Alheydis von Körckhingen.
His Excellency did call into Court Lady Catherine O'Herlehy, Liz the
Mischievous, Elizabeth the Nameless, Keiran, and Lady Eleanora of
Rosewycke, and asked for their continued service. Having obtained
such oaths, he presented them with tokens of His appreciation.
Oliver Gladewyne, Archery Champion of Delftwood, was called before His
Excellency to confirm his desire to remain as Champion.
William fitz William, Heavy Weapons Champion of Delftwood, was called
before His Excellency to confirm his desire to remain as Champion.
Baron Tofi Kerthjalfadsson and Baroness Genevieve du Vent Argent did
make a presentation of gifts to Baron Oeric, on behalf of Baron Alonzio
and Baroness Tatyana of the Debatable Lands.
Baron Rian Gortyroyan and Baroness Jennet the Gentle were called
forward to speak on behalf of the worthiness and diligent service of
Lady Annora of Delftwood. Having heard such words, His Excellency
Oeric did make Lady Annora a Companion of the Windmill. There
were two scrolls. The first was illuminated by Lady Una de Saint
Luc and Mattea di Luna, with calligraphy by Lady Alheydis von
Körckhingen. The second was by Lady Juliana Stafford and Lady
Gilliane McGill de Verona. A token was crafted by Lord Artemius
Andreas Magnus.
Elizabeth Bousche and Nathaniel Frizell were made honorary citizens of
Delftwood, in recognition of much service performed during their former
residence here. Scrolls by Lady Alheydis von Körckhingen.
Elizabeth Bousche was made a Companion of the Windmill in recognition
of exemplary service to the barony. Scroll by Lady Alheydis von
Körckhingen. A token was crafted by Lady Lavena Knapp.
Dame Sibyl Cairnfalcon and Lord Justin Lymner were invested as the
Principals of a new Baronial Order for Excellence in the Arts &
Sciences, yet to be named. Scrolls by Lady Alheydis von
Körckhingen.
Sir Dain Ferris and the Honorable Lord Orm of Loch Mor were invested as
the Principals of a new Baronial Order for Excellence in the Martial
Arts, yet to be named. The scrolls were illuminated by Lady
Gilliane McGill de Verona, with calligraphy by Lady Juliana Stafford.
Baron Rian Gortyroyan and Baroness Jennet the Gentle were invested as
the Principals of a new Baronial Order recognizing those who best
represent the heart and soul of Delftwood, yet to be named, and to be
henceforth given to but one person annually. Scrolls by Lady
Alheydis von Körckhingen.
There being no further business, the First Court of Oeric, Seventh
Baron of Delftwood was closed.
